Phone specifications and features

This phone has some features and specifications that make it worth the purchase.  It has most of the features that the buyers look for in the purchase of cell phones.  These include the following:

  • EDGE, GPRS and Dual-band GSM. Enhanced Data for Global Evolution (EDGE) is three times faster as compared to the GPRS. Although it meets all the requirements of the fast 3G network, it is generally classified as 2.75 G.
  • SIM hot-swap
  • GSM Dual SIM and GSM
  • Dual Standby
  • Asha touch interface – S40 based
  • WQVGA resistive touch screen – 3 inch, about 155 pixel density
  • Nokia Maps
  • Gallery – multi touch
  • Nokia browser 2.0
  • Display auto-rotation
  • Nokia store
  • FREE 40 EA games
  • 2 Mega Pixels primary camera
  • Expandable memory –  it supports micro SD card up to a capacity of 32 GB
  • Micro USB port hub
  • Lithium Ion battery – 1100 mAh
  • Loudspeaker
  • Bluetooth v2.1 – with A2DP

The above are mainly the cons of the Nokia Asha 305.  These features make it a modern phone that is affordable to most people especially the youth.

The Nokia Asha 305 also has some cons. These include the following:

  • The screen resolution is low: this means that images may not appear as exactly as they are.  It may also not support images and photos that are of very high resolution.
  • The RAM is low: this causes the phone to lag sometimes when it is in use.  If the Ram is improved it would probably be among the best phones in its category.
  • There is no 3G connectivity
  • The resistive touch screen is not very cool when you are operating it.
  • Its QCIF video recording is somehow inferior as compared to the phones within the same price range in the market.
