Wow, a 41MegaPixel camera? At first I thought it was too good to be true. I can’t wait for this to be released. I wonder how this will have an effect on the iPhone market? A lot of people buy phones for the quality of the camera and this will blow all other competitors out of the way.
    Good article.

I’m not very impressed with this phone aside from the 41mp and the carl zeis lens.
They just made a mediocre phone and put an impressive camera on it.

For many people the phone already replaces the digital camera, but if you already have a digital camera, I am sure in most situations it’s probably going to be better than any phone camera, including this Nokia. 41mp is unnecessary. Even to make a picture for a billboard in high resolution 41mp is more than you need.

When you buy a camera because you want to do real photography then the main thing to look at is not the amount of mp but the lens. This is also why canon doesn’t have to worry because a phone can never replace a real EOS camera :)

Wow 41 MP that’s insane! Although I can’t really see this as being the quality of an actual camera. I agree with Danny, I don’t think a phone camera can ever compare to a real EOS cam, 41mp or not and the lens does make a big difference.

    Hi Atish,

My previous phone was Nokia, I am a big fan of Nokia mobile phones, because since I know a mobile phone, I always used Nokia, and am always happy with them.

Reading this post, reminds me of Nokia phones in the last years, somehow, the smartphones like iPhone and others beat them in competition.

I still hope to see Nokia being popular again like it used to be.

    Kimi.

Nokia 808 Pureview is a brilliant new handset. It is the last Symbian mobile phone and according to some rumors its staring price would be around $500.

That is insane! I’d like to know if the camera is really good though – it’s not just all about megapixels, and 41 MP does seem a bit excessive…

This looks like an amazing camera. But at 41MP this would hog the memory pretty quick. I’m sure they could come up with a phone with a memory bigger than 16GB.

I always love Nokia for their amazing innovations. This 41 MP camera mobile is by far the best phone with excellent imaging capabilities. I am okay with Windows Phone or Symbian

    And I hate Android :P
