4 Smartphones that are Comparable to the iPhone
Do you want a smartphone but don’t want to pay the high price for an Apple iPhone? Although the technology market leads you to believe that the iPhone has no competition, there are actually quite a few mobile phones out there that are not only comparable, they are substantially cheaper. Below are four of the best on the market.
BlackBerry Torch 9810
This 4G touchscreen smartphone can usually be found for $100 cheaper than the iPhone 4S, and some wireless providers sale the phone for more than 75% off when you sign a multi-year service contract, making the savings even more substantial. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 features a 1.2 GHz processor for faster browsing and better gaming experience. The 3.2 inch high-resolution touchscreen displays HD video, and the 5 MP camera comes with autofocus, digital zoom and a LED flash, along with a 720p HD video camcorder. Although you won’t have access to all of the apps on the iPhone, you can still browse the internet, check your email and download popular social media apps like Facebook.
HTC Desire C
This phone is popular in Europe and Southeast Asia for its impeccable capability to provide everything you want in a smartphone without breaking the bank. Sold at a considerably lower price than the iPhone 4S, the HTC Desire C has a 3.5 inch touchscreen, a 600 MHz processor and 4GB of memory space. As for add-ons, the phone features a 5 MP camera, a music player, Beats Audiosound enhancement, personal email access and internet browsing. Users can also choose to download additional entertaining and useful phone apps.
Sony Xperia Arc S
Like the HTC Desire, the Sony Xperia Arc S is an Android smartphone. Although it is more expensive than any of the other phones on this list, it actually has more features than the iPhone and could be argued as being the best smartphone on the market today. This is the fastest phone out of the group, too. It has a 1.4 GHz processor. With an 8.1 MP camera, you won’t ever have to worry again about lugging around a separate point and shoot camera. You can even shoot 3D photos and videos for later viewing on your 3D TV. Other features include a 4.2 inch scratch-resistant touchscreen, internet browsing and email access, among other things.
Pantech Crossover
This phone is the low man on the totem pole, but don’t underestimate its ability. Great for anyone who wants a smartphone with a touchscreen and a texting keyboard, the Pantech Crossover can be found for hundreds of dollars cheaper than the iPhone 4S. It is an Android phone, so you will have access to thousands of apps from the Android Market, as well as access to the internet and email. The phone features a 3 MP camera, a music player and a 3.1 inch touchscreen (along with a QWERTY keyboard for typing).

You’re right! The HTC Desire C is one of the so called iPhone alternatives here in my country. Not only it’s cheaper but it’s also full of great features that IMHO matched the qualities of all the smartphones out there.

Thanks for this great list buddy, but where is the Galaxy S3. It’s the real Android beast to fight against even the iPhone 4S.

My vote is for the Sony Xperia Arc S. It’s so slim and has a very bright (Bravia) screen and doesn’t feel laggy. It’s also much more affordable than any iPhone and you can’t go wrong with Android.

1st of all I want to say,”iPhone is iPhone”. It is unique for its unique operating system, apps, design. Though its price is high, it deserves the price.
Smart phones from sony, blackberry, htc, motorola, samsung also offer a quality service comparatively in a lower price. If anyone wants luxury service from a mobile phone then iPhone is for him. But if anyone think he wants to be served well quality by a mobile phone then this android phones are enough for him.
No doubt, balckberry is one of the finest phones now-a-days. BlackBerry Torch 9810 is a revolutionary addition to blackberry. HTC Desire C is one step behind in this competition because of its 600 MHz processor. But among all this phones, I will prefer Sony Xperia Arc S. A perfect phone that can give anyone the equivalent test of a iPhone.
My vote goes for Sony Xperia Arc S!!!
